1. Derrick Henry is a superstar running back who has just begun to hit his stride

There is no doubt who the best player on the Tennessee Titans is. Fifth-year running back Derrick Henry was unstoppable in 2019 – racking up over 1500 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground and averaging a staggering 102.7 yards per game. He also averaged 5.1 yards per carry en route to his first Pro Bowl selection. The fact that he was not a First-Team All-Pro was a travesty and was not indicative of his play.

And he proved that in the playoffs. He started off his record-setting run with a 182 yard and one touchdown performance against the aforementioned greatest defensive mind the NFL has ever seen when he torched Belichick’s Patriots all afternoon. He followed that up against the vaunted Baltimore Ravens, who most considered the best defense in the league a season ago. In that game, he was even better putting up a 195-yard performance in which he averaged 6.5 yards per carry. In the AFC Championship Game, largely to a consistent second-half deficit, he received only 19 carries and never really got going en route to the Titans’ loss to the Chiefs.

But that also reveals his value to the team. If Tennessee is going to keep winning, it is going to be because Derrick Henry keeps running. And the team certainly believes he’s going to, as they ponied up to sign him to a four-year deal worth $50 million.

Derrick Henry is the best running back in the NFL. Because of that, and because of the improved offensive line and quarterback play, Henry should have an even better 2020, and if he does, the Titans can win the Super Bowl because of it.
