Position battles figure to be influenced by a shortened camp.

A 2020 NFL season set to be like no other will be preceded by a unique training camp schedule, limiting the time players will have to compete for starting roles and snaps in the coming campaign.

With players not set to start contact practices until the second half of August, those looking to win a position battle must stake their claim to do so in a significantly shortened window and without the benefit of preseason games.

The drastically altered training camp schedule and lack of exhibition matchups for players to pit themselves against NFL competition theoretically benefits established veterans who are already well versed in their team’s system and have on-field experience on their side.

Indeed, the changes to the preparations for the new season may mean more rookies who would usually be in the mix to start will have to spend more time on the bench in their maiden year in the league regardless of their draft status.

But which position battle will have the most significant impact for each NFL team as they plot a successful 2020 campaign in alien circumstances?

Here we examine the biggest position battle of training camp battle for every team in the league.
