3. The Cowboys have the NFL’s deadliest trio of wide receivers

We’ve already discussed how the NFL is a passing league and no team is better positioned to take advantage of it than the Cowboys. Re-signing Amari Cooper was huge for Dallas since he has emerged as a star with Prescott throwing him passes.

Cooper worked well with Michael Gallup, who has emerged as a talented playmaker with big breakout potential. Having those two would be good, but Jerry Jones caught a huge break in the NFL Draft when CeeDee Lamb fell to the Cowboys at 17.

Lamb, widely considered to be one of the draft’s top receiving prospects, slid right into Dallas’ arms. Putting him alongside Cooper and Gallup will really stretch opposing defenses.

A lot of teams have trouble fielding two good corners, which will make covering Dallas’ top three receivers a big challenge. That immense depth at the wide receiver spot will be a huge boost to the Cowboys’ Super Bowl hopes.
