1. Mike McCarthy is a proven winner

The biggest change the Cowboys made this offseason was in the head coaching ranks. Jason Garrett’s long tenure of disappointments came to an end, leaving Jones in need of a new coach.

Dallas nailed their hire with McCarthy, who brings instant credibility as a Super Bowl champion. McCarthy has a history of winning and his time away from the game has helped him gain a fresh perspective on the modern NFL.

For a roster as talented as Dallas’ that could be a massive advantage. One of the biggest problems the Cowboys had was that the team constantly underachieved under Garrett.

That should no longer be an issue with McCarthy, who will bring new energy and motivation to the locker room. Having a proven coach like McCarthy is a big upgrade for the Cowboys and the top reason why they will win the Super Bowl this season.
