David Bakhtiari appears to have suffered a practice injury and it’s the last thing the Green Bay Packers need right now.

The football gods simply have not been kind to Aaron Rodgers over the past six months. To make matters worse, one of his best friends on the team and the man in charge of protecting his blindside is already getting hurt early on in training camp?

On Tuesday, starting Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari was seen limping off the field after getting dinged up. If he is forced to miss any time whatsoever, it’d be a big blow for Green Bay.

More so, it’d be just devastating news for Rodgers, who quite frankly has suffered enough this offseason.

David Bakhtiari suffering any kind of injury would be catastrophic news for the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers

Bakhtiari has been the heart and soul of the Packers’ offensive line. Since arriving in Green Bay in 2013, he’s appeared in 106 games, starting every single one over at left tackle. He’s been Rodgers’ right-hand man. Again, any kind of injury to him would be catastrophic for the line.

For Rodgers, it’d just be even more disappointing news, which he’s received plenty of already since the 2019 campaign came to an end.

Not only did the team draft quarterback Jordan Love in the first round, which upset Rodgers, but Brian Gutekunst also didn’t select a single wide receiver during the seven rounds of the NFL Draft.

The expectation was they’d take a playmaker for Rodgers in the first round, but they went with Love instead. Brutal. Off the field, Rodgers and long-time girlfriend Danica Patrick also broke up. It’s been a wild and emotionally draining half-year for the future Hall-of-Famer.

Rodgers is hoping to win at least one more Super Bowl title with the Packers before he either retires or leaves town for a new team. Right now, it just feels like all the cards are stacked against him.
