Fernando Tatis, Jr. drama changed Dave Roberts’ mind on so-called unwritten rules.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts, has had a change of heart after watching the Fernando Tatis Jr. drama unfold. Roberts says, although he came up in a time when those unwritten rules we are all debating now, were followed without question, he understands times are changing and the incident with Tatis Jr. has him rethinking how he viewed those rules in the past.

Listen to his thoughts about the incident here.

In case you are a baseball fan living under a rock, the whole upheaval came when Tatis Jr. hit a Grand Slam off an 0-3 pitch when the team was already ahead. Apparently, in some alternate universe, this is a no-no and actually trying to make sure you have a significant lead is being mean. I hope you sense the sarcasm in my writing.

Fernando Tatis Jr. was just doing his job

Poor Tatis Jr., instead of being able to celebrate the accomplishment, was forced to apologize and has been ridiculed for just doing his job.

Thankfully, the Dodgers organization seems to be behind what Tatis Jr. did.

Maybe that’s because their own Joe Kelly broke an unwritten rule himself, but we digress.

Next. 3 ‘unwritten rules’ in MLB that simply need to go away. dark
