AL. East. 2.. 43. Scouting Report. New York Yankees. player. Pick Analysis

New York Yankees fans, here we are again. The team had an absolutely impressive start to the 2020 season, but it was once again derailed by the injury bug. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres and James Paxton are all on the injured list as of this writing due to a multitude of injuries.

The Yankees were able to overcome the mass rash of injuries last year, but 2020 is a different animal. The Tampa Bay Rays now hold first-place in the AL East, thanks in part to the team holding a 5-1 record against the Yankees this season.

Look, the Yankees proved that they’re all-in for a World Series run this past offseason after signing ace Gerrit Cole to a lucrative seven-year contract. If New York wants to make that dream become a reality, they need to add quality pitching to their rotation. Names like the Trevor Bauer, Johnny Cueto and Mike Clevinger have been linked to the Yankees ahead fo the trade deadline, and they shouldn’t hesitate in adding one of them for a late-season push.
