Not one, not two, but three home runs for Marcell Ozuna at Fenway Park on Tuesday night

The Braves power display took its talents to Fenway Park on Tuesday, where Atlanta took on the lowly Boston Red Sox. Whether Chaim Bloom wants to admit it or not, this franchise mailed in 2020 a long time ago, and the Braves rubbed this defeated bunch’s face in it courtesy of an individual effort we won’t soon forget.

Ozuna’s first two home runs, which went over the Green Monster, were impressive enough. Atlanta was rolling, and giving Ian Anderson plenty of run support.

Anderson’s 6 innings and 2 earned runs were more than enough to give the Braves bullpen a sound advantage for the final three frames. Even with a slip-up from Shane Greene, Atlanta won comfortably.

Ozuna’s third homer of the night will make headlines nationally

Ozuna’s last homer did not clear the monster, but surely would have with ease had it been directed that way. Rather, this was a line drive with ridiculous exit velocity to straightaway center which just kept going, going, gone. The Red Sox ought to bill Ozuna for the dent in Fenway Park’s centerfield wall.

Six miles, 450 feet, who’s counting?

Ozuna is up to 11 home runs on the season, and can get hot in a hurry. At 21-14 and first in the NL East, the Braves hope such a streak continues as they try to patch together a pitching staff before the start of the postseason.

Next. Braves trade deadline was a serious letdown. dark
