The retied Chicago Bears quarterback responds to rumors that he was out on a date with Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren.
After the coronavirus pandemic struck the United States back in March, we were all looking for some form of entertainment as we all sat in self-quarantine. Luckily for NFL fans, they got just that from former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who captured his hunt for the animal who was killing his chickens. This crime-drama won the hearts of NFL fans around the world. However, those fans of Cutler received the shock of a lifetime on Thursday, as rumors began circulating that the former signal caller was spotted out and about with FOX News commentator Tomi Lahren.
Hours after the disbelief and ridicule on social media, Cutler shut down the rumors of a budding relationship with the conservative talking-head with a simple video of him grooming his beloved cow, calling her the “only lady in [his life].” So there you have it, Cutler and Lahren are not dating.
Cutler tells the internet to be better
E! News was the first to break the news that both Cutler and Lahren were spotted at Winners Bar in Nashville, Tenn. with two friends, taking shots from a tequila bottle. The buzz truly began when the entertainment news site said that the two left the bar together.
Lahren immediately responded to the report in a tweet on Thursday evening, sarcastically saying that she “loves it when the internet tells [her] who [she’s] dating.” On Friday afternoon, sources told PEOPLE Magazine that Cutler and Lahren were “just friends.”
Following his retirement from the NFL after a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins, Cutler rose to fame in the entertainment world for his role in the reality show, “Very Cavallari,” with his then-wife Kristen Cavallari. Back in April, the couple announced they were divorcing after a seven-year marriage.
