Lee Corso absolutely crushed it with his home setup for College GameDay.

Leave it to Lee Corso to do everything right with his remote College GameDay setup.

With the 2020 college football season underway, ESPN’s College GameDay returned to action on Saturday morning. Even if all the panelists we love are in different locations, it’s an absolutely wonderful site to see Corso, Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit and David Pollack talking college football on Saturday mornings. It’s so beautiful, I could almost cry.

Not to be outdone, the 85-year-old living legend put together the greatest setup you’ll ever see. Here is Corso at his makeshift College GameDay desk with cardboard cutouts of his colleagues. From left to right, it’s Howard, Davis, Herbstreit and Pollack with Corso right in the middle of his friend’s cardboard copies. With a pink flamingo in the background, welcome to Coach’s crib!

Lee Corso has been the reason we’ve watched College GameDay for years.

Though we don’t know how much longer Corso will keep doing this, he’s a national treasure for so many reasons. There are few analysts on television who are as captivating and have their own unique style. Since the early 1990s, Corso has found ways to cut through the noise time after time with his great picks and his over the top headgear selections. He is absolutely one of a kind.

This is why we love Corso so much. It’s not that he was the late Burt Reynolds’ roommate while playing ball for the Florida State Seminoles in the 1950s, nor is it being the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals or the Indiana Hoosiers. It’s the way in which Corso encapsulates and personifies why college football is so much dang fun. Forever young at heart, god, we love him.

Though it will be strange to see how this college football season will unfold, let’s hope Corso and all the guys get to have as much fun as they have in years past bringing to us the excitement needed to get fired up for Saturdays. No question it will be different, but we will cherish every single second of college football action for as long as we get it this fall. Here’s to a great year!

Corso’s College GameDay setup has to bring a smile to your face on Labor Day weekend.
