Luis Robert made an unbelievable catch against the Royals on Saturday night.

Luis Robert of the Chicago White Sox is making sure you remember his name. Or at least his highlights.

On Saturday night, the 22-year-old dropped jaws across the internet when he bolted across the field to deny the Royals’ Maikel Franco a lead-off hit in the bottom of the ninth inning.

As Sarah Langs of MLB.com pointed out, Robert had to cover 86 feet in 4.5 seconds in order to secure the catch. He had a 15 percent chance to complete the play. And he did it, flying in full stretch to secure the catch.

That’s an absolutely incredible play.

Even Franco thought so. He told reporters after the game he thought he had a double in the bag. He laughed when he saw Robert make the catch.

The out put Chicago on track to win the game, 5-3, keeping them half a game ahead of the Indians in the AL Central.

Luis Robert is making impossible plays for the White Sox.

This is Robert’s first season in the MLB and already he’s become one of the most exciting young players in the game.

The Cuban centerfielder is batting. 277 with 27 RBI and 11 home runs, but his defensive work has drawn as much attention as his offense.

Here are some more numbers to explain just how awesome Robert has been in 2020: He has the highest dWAR among MLB outfielders, per Danny Vietti of CBS Sports. He has the most defensive runs saved in the American League.

Two days ago, Robert rocked a pitch for a monster 458-foot home run in the White Sox 11-6 win over Kansas City.

Is those plays aren’t enough to get him in the conversation for Rookie of the Year, who knows what could.

The Royals won’t be sad to see Robert move on to other opposition, that’s for sure. But first they’ll face him and the White Sox once more on Sunday. What kind of highlights could Robert produce then?
