The entire Mysterio family got their revenge on Buddy Murphy in the main event of WWE Monday Night Raw.

WWE Monday Night Raw continued a series of storylines as the promotion heads into WWE Clash of Champions set for later this month. The feud between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre continues to hang tat the top of the card, but that was not the only angle to get time on television Monday night. The Hurt Business, Asuka, Raw Underground and many more were on air and presenting action to the viewing fans.

The first match of the evening was another entry in the feud between the Hurt Business, Apollo Crews, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet. The Hurt Business got the drop on Alexander before he was able to get to the ring, but this match still started as scheduled with all six men in action.

The match did not last long at all. Crews was the focus of the assault that continued from the Hurt Business. Just when it looked like Crews was going to make the tag to Ricochet, Alexander snatched his partner off the apron and proceeded to beat him down. He had then hit a Lumbar Check on Crews and set the stage for what seems to be the newest member of the faction.

The Street Profits faced off against Angel Garza and Andrade once again as well. Garza and Andrade continued their issues from the last few months, which culminated last week with Garza running when Retribution hit the ring. That angst would lead to their team losing as Garza walked away from the ring, leaving Andrade to get hit with a Frog Splash from Montez Ford, giving the Street Profits the victory.

Last week the world said goodbye to the IIconics. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are a tag team no more, which led to a one-on-one match this week. The two ladies know each other very well and it showed in the match. They were able to counter each other multiple times before Royce hit the downward neck breaker to get the victory.

Mickie James is getting a shot at the WWE Raw women’s title next week, but before she does so, she teamed with the current champion, Asuka against Lana, and Natalya. There was tension between James and Asuka heading into their big match next week, and their opponents took advantage of that. James was able to get things back in order, but when she looked to finish things off, Asuka slid in and took care of business on her own, giving the team the win.

Alexander’s turn earlier in the evening did not go without reaction. Ricochet and Crews came out to attack the Hurt Business with the Viking Raiders in tow.

The Hurt Business Plus One

The Hurt Business were put on the back foot initially, but it was not long before they took control of the match, singling out Crews once again. Erik from the Viking Raiders got the tag and started to pick his opponents apart. That lasted until he ate a nasty spear from Bobby Lashley. Once Alexander tagged in the Hurt Business were in full control once again. The match fell apart as all eight men battled both inside and out of the ring. Alexander hit a Michinoku Driver on Ricochet to pick up the victory for his team.

Keith Lee was pitted against Randy Orton once again on Monday Night Raw. Orton used some veteran tactics to get the advantage on Lee early. Orton even went for the RKO but was unable to move Lee, who just held him in place. A mistake outside of the ring cost Lee that momentum but even still, Orton could not keep Lee off his feet. Orton would finally hit the RKO, but McIntyre came from out of nowhere to hit the Claymore Kick, costing Lee the match.

Thanks to Nia Jax, she and Shayna Baszler had a series of handicap matches against their top contenders, the Riott Squad. She started off hot, but the minute her and Jax started arguing, her downfall came. While lifting Liv Morgan up for a Samoan Drop, Morgan slid down Baszler’s back and pinned her, defeating one-half of the champions.

Jax was up next. As she is the much bigger woman, the Riott Squad attempted to double-team her for much of the match. Even with the way the first match ended, Jax and Baszler continued to argue. Before the match could end, the lights would go out and Retribution appeared on screen to send an ultimatum.

Dominick Mysterio was accompanied to the ring by his family to face Buddy Murphy in a no-disqualification, one-on-one match. This fight was as violent as one would expect. These two fought all around the ring with Murphy taking pleasure beating Dominick up in front of his family. Murphy made the mistake of taking his eye off Dominick and ate a Sunset Flip Bomb out of the ring into a table. Dominick and Rey would then batter Murphy with kendo sticks, even allowing the rest of the family to get involved. Murphy ate shot after shot until he verbally quit, giving Dominick Mysterio the win.
