It’s the dawn of a new day. Who cares if college football is going to look weird and will be incredibly awkward? We’ve got more FBS action on our television screens than last week. While the ACC and the Big 12 begin play on Saturday, nobody was more eager to play than the Charlotte 49ers linebacker. I mean, just look at him. He’s flopping around like a fish in the pregame.

Charlotte may not win in Boone, but Agabe absolutely won the pregame.

When it comes to thriving before kickoff, Hotty Toddy Nation is the gold standard. Though their beloved Ole Miss Rebels live to disappoint them on the football field, they know how to dominate some turf most years at The Grove. Turns out, Agabe didn’t need a grove, a red solo cup or a frat swoop to show us he’s down to party. Who needs coffee when you can have what Agabe’s having?

The 49ers have a strong up-and-coming head coach in Will Healy. Though they are one of the youngest programs in the FBS, Charlotte seems to be fitting right in with Conference USA. They do have their work cut out for them vs. the best team in the Sun Belt in the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Shawn Clark takes over for Eliah Drinkwitz, who now leads the Missouri Tigers.

Charlotte has a new logo and new uniforms. The 49ers are very much a part of the six FBS conferences who are playing football this fall. With four conferences sitting this one out, it will allow more exposure for a team potentially on the rise out of the Group of 5 in Charlotte. To be on ESPN2 in a big in-state battle vs. App State, how can you not get overly fired up for this one?

Agabe may do other things on the football field, but this is what he’ll be known for forever.
