Here is college football’s top 25 schedule of when they will be playing.

We will have two of college football’s Power 5 conferences in action this weekend.

With the ACC and Big 12 beginning their seasons, this means a handful of ranked teams will play their first games of the year. Though the AP Top 25 Preseason Poll features teams in conferences that won’t be playing this year, that will quickly change once these Power 5 games are under way. Let’s find out know when each ranked team is playing this weekend and if they will win.

These are all the ranked college football teams playing this weekend.

Saturday, Sept. 12 (12:00 p.m. ET)

  • Syracuse Orange at No. 18 North Carolina Tar Heels
  • Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns at No. 23 Iowa State Cyclones

Saturday, Sept. 12 (2:30 p.m. ET)

  • Duke Blue Devils at No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Saturday, Sept. 12 (7:00 p.m. ET)

  • Missouri State Bears at No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners

Saturday, Sept. 12 (7:30 p.m. ET)

  • No. 1 Clemson Tigers at Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Saturday, Sept. 12 (8:00 p.m. ET)

  • UTEP Miners at No. 14 Texas Longhorns

As you can see, I’m going with chalk and there are not being any upsets in Week 2 of the 2020 college football season. From a standpoint of where you might get a compelling game, let’s look at the two games of note in the early window: The Syracuse Orange at the No. 18 North Carolina Tar Heels and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns at the No. 23 Iowa State Cyclones.

Given that it is a conference game and the first one of the year, there could be upset potential on the mind for Dino Babers’ Orange team. However, Mack Brown has Sam Howell as his quarterback and with a conference championship game appearance on the mind of all in Tar Heel nation, look for North Carolina to get it done and start the year out at 1-0.

If we’re going to pick a ranked team to be upset, it might be Matt Campbell’s Cyclones. Though it wouldn’t be wise to count on it happening, the Ragin’ Cajuns have a strong up-and-coming head coach in former Nick Saban disciple Billy Napier. It may take a few years, but Napier could become a fixture in a Power 5 role, just like Campbell has at Iowa State after leaving the Toledo Rockets.

The other cool part about this weekend’s slate of games is we’ll see three top-10 teams going at it in the No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish hosting the Duke Blue Devils, the No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners host the FCS Missouri State Bears and the No. 1 Clemson Tigers going on the road to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem at the site of ESPN’s College GameDay.

Look for those three ranked teams to win easily, as well as the No. 14 Texas Longhorns at home over the lowly UTEP Miners, who are coming off a rare win, if you can believe it. Overall, it’ll get less weird when the SEC starts playing games. We’ll see more teams in the six conferences playing this year with Top 25 rankings beside their name. At least we’re getting college football in 2020.

Will all six ranked teams stay undefeated heading into Week 3 of the 2020 college season?
