Week 2 begins Thursday night, and here are some potential stars of the week.

NFL Football finally began. The Kansas City Chiefs, even in an unprecedented time, still appear to be one of the best and most explosive teams in the league. Rather easily, they took down the Houston Texans to take the first win of the fresh campaign.

In that game, Sammy Watkins went for a massive fantasy game. As he did in Week 1 of 2019 as well. If you drafted him, kudos to you. If you ended up starting him, even bigger props. He was rostered under 50% (as of 9/11/20) in both ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Now you are preparing for Week 2. Hopefully, you are coming off a win. Either way, here are the five adds you should look into for the second week of the season.

For the Houston Texans, there was not much to hang your hat on after the first game of the season. Deshaun Watson was constantly dealing with pressure, and you nearly forgot who most of the team’s receivers were due to the lack of action they had.

One player who was somewhat noticeable was third-year tight end Jordan Akins. Against the Chiefs, he only received two targets. Although, he caught each one and had 39 yards and a touchdown.

With more time in the pocket, Watson should be able to find his receivers easier than he did in the season opener. Akins is a big target for the quarterback and someone who can end up getting a lot of touchdown targets due to the lack of top receivers on the outside.

In Week 2, things do not get any easier for the Texans. Just a week after playing the AFC favorites, they will host the other candidate to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens.

It is hard to imagine the Texans having an easier time against another top defense. But after a week of preparation, the team can game plan better and give Watson more time.

Akins can break it open down the seam and provide a large target on crucial downs for his young quarterback. With a few more catches and another score, Akins provides a nice fantasy return.
