The Bills are among the teams that need to be on upset alert in Week 2.

There was plenty of craziness in the NFL in Week 1 and we saw plenty of upsets. The Washington Football Team, Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals are all 1-0 while the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers fell to 0-1.

Some of those upsets came as a surprise, but this very space pointed out last week that the 49ers were an upset candidate entering the week. Let’s look at three more teams that should be on upset alert this week, beginning with the Dallas Cowboys. Upsets, as always, are relative to the lines provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Dallas Cowboys could be in trouble against the Atlanta Falcons.

A questionable offensive pass interference call cost the Cowboys in their loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, but there were red flags galore from Dallas’ performance. The Cowboys had trouble containing the Rams’ passing attack as Robert Woods found plenty of green grass in the contest, catching six passes for 105 yards.

The injury bug also came calling on the Cowboys, who lost tight end Blake Jarwin for the season and linebacker Leighton Vander Esch for at least 6-8 weeks. For a Cowboys’ defense that already had question marks in the back end, losing a top linebacker further depletes the unit.

Dallas returns home this week to take on a Falcons’ team that could further challenge their secondary with an explosive passing attack. Julio Jones could have a field day and Matt Ryan is coming off a 450-yard passing performance against the Seahawks on Sunday.

The Cowboys are favored by five against Atlanta but this game could turn into a shootout quickly. All bets are off when that happens so don’t be shocked if the Falcons have a chance to steal this game late in the fourth quarter.
