JuJu Smith-Schuster is on a mission to redeem himself after a rough 2019 season

Smith-Schuster’s sub-par 2019 campaign wasn’t all his fault, as the Steelers quarterback play was brutal at times. Duck Hodges and Mason Rudolph are not of the same quality as Ben Roethlisberger, and now that the veteran QB is back and (thus far) healthy, Smith-Schuster is using that improved ball placement to his advantage.

JuJu’s in a contract year, which as all NFL players know is the time to ball out in hopes of earning a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal. Especially at Smith-Schuster’s age, the time is now to earn every cent of his value.

While it’s just one play, $omething or $omeone has gotten to Smith-Schuster to tell him just that. This poor Broncos secondary is in the way of that goal.

That stiff-arm earned the Steelers a first down and set up their first touchdown of the game, which James Conner cashed in on from a few yards out. Conner was injured in the second quarter of the Steelers Monday Night win over the New York Giants, so seeing some early success from the Pitt product is encouraging.

Next. Steelers doing Steeler things, not afraid of key contributors hitting free agency. dark
