FanDuel NFL 2020: Best lineup for Week 3

Wide Receiver 2: DK Metcalf $6,500

Spending so much on running back and the top wide receiver doesn’t leave a ton left for the other positions, but there are so many smart decisions to be made in the middle ground. DK Metcalf had yet another breakout game last week going up against one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Stephon Gilmore. He had 92 yards and a touchdown, including a beautiful 54-yard catch where he just overpowered Gilmore on multiple accounts.

This week, Metcalf is going up against a Dallas Cowboys secondary that watched Calvin Ridley destroy them. Trevon Diggs held Julio Jones in check, and he will spend a lot of time focusing on Metcalf, but Russell Wilson’s ability to target multiple receivers as threats (five touchdowns to five receivers this past week) will keep him honest.

Also, Dallas will attempt to learn from last week’s all or nothing approach on Jones that got them destroyed by Ridley.

Metcalf showed last week he only needs one to put up a big day for fantasy players. So far, he’s done that in each of the past two weeks. The Cowboys have been prone to the big play through the air. The Rams had multiple 30-yard passes, while the Falcons put big plays early before giving up the lead late.

Metcalf just needs one matchup with the second cornerback and Wilson will find him. Metcalf is playing with superior confidence right now, and we’ve seen that do well for him in the past.
