8. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (GB)

Game: Green Bay Packers at New Orleans (Sunday, 9/27, 8:20 pm EST)

In two weeks of 2020 football, Aaron Rodgers has wound back the clock to showcase a 2014 version of his abilities. Unless that abruptly stops, Packers wideouts will be smiling from ear to ear. A prolific Aaron Rodgers is just better for business.

Davante Adams is obviously the alpha-male receiver on the depth chart, but Rodgers loves to fling it deep to Valdes-Scantling. He will dial up these shots vs. New Orleans, and that makes Valdes-Scantling an occupant of Sleeper Central.

9. Darnell Mooney (CHI)

Game: Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons (Sunday, 9/27, 1:00 pm EST)

It’s ok if you’ve never heard of Mr. Mooney — he’s a rookie from Tulane. The Falcons have submerged themselves in two shootouts to begin the 2020 season, and the Bears come to town on Sunday. While the Bears rarely mess around with high-scoring affairs, this could be a slight exception.

Atlanta will attempt to stifle Allen Robinson and allocate coverage to do so. Mooney will be the benefactor.

10. Corey Davis (TEN)

Game: Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings (Sunday, 9/27, 1:00 pm EST)

Analyze this case for sleeper candidacy: Titans top receiver A.J. Brown is injured. The Vikings have an extremely young group of cornerbacks — two of which will miss Sunday’s game. Minnesota is missing Danielle Hunter with a neck injury. Ergo, the Vikings fostered little-to-no pass rush through two games.

Therefore, Davis is the temporary WR1 for a team going up against a suspect secondary. Davis is destined to register north of 10 PPR points on your smartphone app.
