Brandon Aiyuk embarrasses Marcus Epps’ entire family on this hurdle (Video)
By John Buhler
Brandon Aiyuk leaped over Marcus Epps with no regard for human life.
There are hurdles and then there’s whatever Brandon Aiyuk just did to Marcus Epps.
The San Francisco 49ers were hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 4. Down 8-0 to the Eagles, the 49ers were looking for a spark offensively to not let this game slip away from them. Apparently, all head coach Kyle Shanahan had to do was call Aiyuk’s number and something magical would happen. Epps has a family, but Aiyuk embarrassed the safety anyway.
Will Marcus Epps ever recover from being posterized by Brandon Aiyuk?
We’ve seen skill position players try to leap over linebackers and defensive backs for years now. Sometimes, it goes over well. Other times, it goes over poorly. This was one of those times where everything lined up and we got a spectacular highlight out of Aiyuk leapfrogging Epps en route to the 49ers’ first touchdown of the night. It’ll be awfully hard for him or the team to top this one.
San Francisco entered play at 2-1 on the year, while the Eagles found themselves at a dismal 0-2-1. The 49ers play in a brutal NFC West, while the Eagles are thanking their lucky stars they play in a division of nothing but cannon fodder called the NFC East. Even with a backup quarterback in Nick Mullens, Shanahan always finds a way to draw up the perfect play for his team.
Aiyuk may never a touchdown that wows us on par with this one leaping over Epps to pay dirt.
