In a showdown against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, rookie Justin Herbert threw an absolute dime for a 53-yard touchdown.

When the Los Angeles Chargers selected former Oregon superstar quarterback Justin Herbert with their 2020 first-round pick, fans were waiting patiently for him to take over the offense. Well, he’s now the starter and making plays that will surely steal plenty of headlines on Sunday.

Early on in the action, Herbert stepped back in the pocket and unloaded an absolute bomb down the field for Tyron Johnson. It was a picture-perfect throw, hitting Johnson in stride for the long touchdown.

Justin Herbert is showing Chargers fans everywhere why he has so much potential with the team

You want to talk about throwing an absolute dime? Well, Herbert did just that against the Bucs on his long touchdown throw. To make things even better for LA fans, Brady threw a pick-six in the first quarter too.

With Herbert, there’s no question he’s got a bright future in the NFL. His rocket for an arm is what’s going to drive opposing defensive coordinators nuts for years to come. With Philip Rivers now long gone, this is now Herbert’s team. He’s made a monumental impact early on, and things are only going to get better for him with more experience.

While he might have some growing pains and show his youth at times this season, he’ll also turn heads with the kind of throw he just made on Sunday against the Bucs.

Next. Justin Herbert is now a viable waiver wire add in fantasy football leagues. dark
