Patrick Mahomes flopped like LeBron James and Twitter called him out for it

Patrick Mahomes deserves an Oscar of his own
Mahomes is absurdly talented, and inarguably the best quarterback in the NFL right now. But that doesn’t mean he won’t sell contact when absolutely necessary. The Chiefs finally took command against the New England Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium, and the touchdown to extend their lead to two scores was aided by the officiating crew.
Now, let the record show there WAS some contact here. But enough for a personal foul? It’s fair to ask such a question.
The Patriots defender barely put his hands on the 2018 MVP. It was enough, though, to assume the worst, especially with the officials blinded by players on the sideline. Mahomes is the face of the league, and there’s no chance Goodell’s cronies are going to let that sort of contact go unscathed, fair or not.
NFL Twitter came at Mahomes for his LeBron James level flop

Mahomes isn’t any different than his counterparts, especially his fellow quarterbacks. If he’s able to get a call, he’s going to find a way to do so. It’s an unfair part of the sport, but surely not Mahomes fault. Defensive players must hold back from any sort of contact near the sidelines, and the Patriots failed in that department.
The Chiefs were destined to beat the Patriots anyhow, winning fairly handily by several scores. Despite what could have been a closer affair, the Patriots offense couldn’t muster much offense without Cam Newton at the helm. Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham aren’t in the same stratosphere.
Mahomes may catch some flack for this, but it’s surely worthwhile. The Chiefs are 4-0, while New England is…not.
