Four top-10 ranked college football teams are on upset alert in Week 6 as their matchups on Saturday will definitely not be easy wins to come by.

For college football fans who love upsets, you certainly got your fill last Saturday. The two favorites in the Big 12, Oklahoma and Texas, both fell to unranked opponents while Mississippi State and Pittsburgh joined them as ranked Power 5 programs who were knocked off. And let’s not forget UCF, who dropped their game against Tulsa. And perhaps that’s setting us up for more upsets in Week 6.

In totality, the college football Week 6 slate offers the best top-to-bottom group of games that we’ve seen thus far in the 2020 season. There are four matchups between teams ranked in the AP Top 25 and that doesn’t even include the Red River Showdown between the aforementioned Sooners and Longhorns as the former fell out of the rankings following a 1-2 start.

Texas, who remains at No. 22 in the latest rankings, won’t be on upset alert for that rivalry matchup, however. Despite the Sooners’ start, both teams are coming off of shocking losses and, in fact, Oklahoma is favored in that game. Thus, it wouldn’t be that shocking to see Lincoln Riley’s team pick up the win.

Also not being put on upset alert is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Not only have they looked dominant with Mac Jones at the helm this year but, even if Lane Kiffin has his offense primed to put up points, the Ole Miss defense has no shot of stopping the Tide’s offense consistently — if at all.

But fear not, there are still plenty of other opportunities for upsets throughout the rest of the slate. In fact, we’re putting these five teams, four of which are top-10 teams, on upset alert in college football Week 6 as they could conceivably fall on Saturday.
