College football Week 6: Top 25 schedule, start times, TV channels and predictions
By John Buhler
Week 6 in the college football landscape gives us several enticing matchups.
College football is starting to get really interesting with several great games on tap in Week 6.
Though the Gulf Coast will have to navigate Hurricane Delta, as of now, 15 ranked teams are slated to play this weekend after Louisiana-Coastal Carolina was rescheduled, including a handful of matchups between ranked opponents. The signature game this week will be between two big ACC brands in the No. 1 Clemson Tigers host the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes. But that’s far from the only game college football fans should be watching this weekend.

Bold indicates the projected winner
I only have one upset this week, but it’s a big one. Look for the Oklahoma Sooners to get their first Big 12 win over the season over the No. 22 Texas Longhorns in the Red River Showdown. Though we may want to keep an eye on how the No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels look against the No. 19 Virginia Tech Hokies, it’s going to be a bad look for the loser in the Cotton Bowl this weekend.
Though I went with chalk in the mid-afternoon window, the upset to potentially keep an eye on is the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks going into Jordan-Hare and handing the No. 13 Auburn Tigers a second straight loss. This isn’t the same Arkansas program from the last few years, and if the Hogs win down on The Plains, they will almost certainly shock us all and be a top-25 team.
And in the late window, it’s not really going to be a huge upset if it does happen, but there is a chance No. 7 Miami hands Clemson its first loss of the season. Though neither team has really played anybody just yet, we can’t say that after this primetime affair in Death Valley. The winner will emerge as the favorite to win the ACC Championship and reach the College Football Playoff.
