Georgia football uses a defensive lineman to score a touchdown on Tennessee football.

Good things happen for Georgia football when they pass to the fullback vs. Tennessee football.

Though it wasn’t as magnificently glorious at Hobnail Boot, Stetson Bennett IV finding Jalen Carter for a one-yard touchdown showed us why throwing the ball to a fullback vs. Tennessee is still the best. Carter typically plays on the defensive line for Georgia but got a big touchdown that seemingly put away Tennessee in the fourth quarter. We always love big guy touchdowns.

Georgia continues to show us the Dawgs are very much a second-half team.

The Dawgs trailed the Vols at home at halftime, 21-17. It was a lot of self-inflicted errors on both sides, but Tennessee made more of Georgia’s first-half mistakes. Georgia responded by coming out and imposing their will on the Tennessee offense. They forced turnovers and made enough plays offensively to take firm control of this SEC East rivalry game. This touchdown was awesome.

It was so awesome, in fact, that a pair of Carter’s defensive line teammates sprinted down to the Tennessee end zone to celebrate with him. However, they didn’t bring their helmets with them and were assessed personal foul penalties. Kirby Smart and his staff didn’t seem to have a problem with it, as the game was firmly in Georgia’s control after that big guy touchdown from Carter.

Georgia is a work-in-progress offensively, but the Dawgs know how to close out football games.
