Texas wideout Joshua Moore embraced the spirit of the Red River Rivalry.
Moore took on the entire Oklahoma team in the tunnel, albeit perhaps jokingly, on their way onto the field. The Red River Showdown never lacks theatrics, as these two teams hate each other more than any college programs outside of Alabama and Auburn and Ohio State and Michigan. Even that’s debatable, to be frank.
The Big 12 is having a down year by their standards, with these two teams combining for a 3-3 record on the season. Texas is still hanging onto hope in the Top 25, but should they want to make further noise this season they’ll need to handle their rivals on Saturday. It’s in that spirit that Moore chose to stir things up before their noon ET kickoff.

Pregame decisions like Moore’s have become the norm at the Cotton Bowl
The fact that only one Texas player was involved in his scrum is actually surprising, and perhaps part of a larger message from head coach Tom Herman — this trip to Dallas is strictly business.
Ehlinger and Texas hold the immediate edge in 2020’s edition of the showdown, if only because Oklahoma doesn’t really know what they have in Spencer Rattler. His talent is obvious, but the former five-star recruit has been turnover-prone in his first three starts for Lincoln Riley.
But, as has been the case in the past, all previous accomplishments and reputations go out the window when these two teams match up.
