JaVale McGee used the Los Angeles Lakers locker room celebration to troll Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Los Angeles Lakers are world champions and wasted no time in flexing on everyone else who is not.

Specifically, we all thought the Lakers were destined for a bubble showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks. Pitting LeBron James up against back-to-back NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was the stuff of NBA lore, but we will have to wait another year to see if two literal giants of the game will clash in the Finals.

We won’t have to wait for an Antetokounmpo to win a ring though.

Kostas Antetokounmpo, Giannis’ younger brother, is an NBA champion. He hasn’t logged a minute with the Lakers since August and was inactive for every single one of Los Angeles’ playoff games, including the NBA Finals, but he still gets a ring.

JaVale McGee would be remiss if he didn’t remind you of that. Or the fact that he’s the first Antetokounmpo to get win an NBA title.

Kostas is not the Antetokounmpo we expected to see hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy but here we are. We won’t get too deep into the weeds on how McGee’s trash talk only highlights the fact that the Lakers didn’t have to run through the Bucks to win their 17th title, because we want to enjoy this moment for what it is. The Lakers are NBA champions, LeBron is on top of the basketball world (and looks like he’s never had more fun doing it), and we’ve reached the climax of the strangest NBA season ever recorded.

Besides, if we start picking at the ball of yarn this NBA Finals presents, we’ll realize that McGee now has as many rings as Larry Bird and that’s a wormhole we’d rather not go down this late at night.
