FanDuel NFL 2020: Best lineup for Week 6
By Nick Villano
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers $8,400
This is a strange week for quarterbacks. Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert, and Drew Brees are all on bye. The massive Josh Allen-Patrick Mahomes matchup was moved to Monday night. The original Monday Night Football game has a vaulted Cowboys offense taking on Kyler Murray. That’s just a lot of big-name quarterbacks off the board for Fanduel players.
This could feel like a week where daily fantasy owners can go for a less expensive quarterback option, but don’t fall for it. Lamar Jackson is still the most expensive player at the position, but his inconsistency is not worth betting on, even against a weak Philadelphia Eagles team. Aaron Rodgers is the second-most expensive option, and he makes a lot more sense.
The Packers are taking on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is only the third time in his career that Rodgers and Brady go head-to-head, which is just a little extra motivation for the Packers signal caller.
This season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has been good at supressing opposing offenses, but there are examples of passing offenses taking advantage. Herbert had a big game against them two weeks ago.
Nick Foles was able to get some things done. Rodgers is still one of the best in the game, and he could be getting Davante Adams back finally. Rodgers is as close to a guarantee as any of the quarterbacks this week.
Other Options: Matt Ryan $7,400, Tom Brady $7,500
