The Minnesota Vikings drove the Seattle Seahawks to the brink of defeat on Sunday Night Football, but the soon-to-be MVP showed why he is just the man for the job.

Seattle had exactly zero points at halftime while the Vikings seemed on the precipice of turning their season around. Minnesota orchestrated its best half of football, but it ultimately wouldn’t matter. The Seahawks resurrection took place in the third quarter, forcing two Minnesota turnovers in succession. Those Vikings follies were manufactured into 14 points, and the score margin grew mighty tight.

Then, the Vikings came to their senses. They wound up taking a lead, only to watch Russell Wilson extinguish said lead via the 30th game-winning drive of his nine-year career.

All in all, Wilson tossed for three touchdowns in the game (during the second half), a foolish interception, and 217 passing yards. This Week 5 contest could probably be called his “worst” of 2020, but that characterization is heavily parenthesized with last-second heroics.

Wilson will stay in this top spot on the next edition ofStock Watch. Seattle has a bye week.
