Lee Corso making his headgear pick is one of the bigger appeals of College GameDay and his pick for Alabama-Georgia is one of his most outlandish yet.

If you’re a loyal College GameDay viewer, then you know all about how fun and silly Lee Corso can get with his weekly headgear pick. Whether it’s shooting rifles when picking Oklahoma State or dressing up as the Notre Dame leprechaun when picking the Fighting Irish, Corso never fails to disappoint.

So when it came time to make his headgear pick for No. 2 Alabama vs. No. 3 Georgia, you know Corso had to raise the stakes and do something big for such a massive game.

Lee Corso raised the bar with his headgear pick for Alabama-Georgia

Sure enough, Corso did just that, making his headgear pick from atop an elephant.

Okay, so it wasn’t a real-life elephant, but it was an elephant nonetheless.

Corso picked the Alabama Crimson Tide to beat the Georgia Bulldogs and about 15 minutes later the news broke that Nick Saban delivered a third negative COVID test and is cleared to coach.

I wonder if Corso had a little birdie in his ear giving him an advance scoop before making his pick?

Will Corso end up being correct or will Georgia make him pay for being wrong?

We’ll find out Saturday night when the game kicks at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
