2. Trade for a quality late-inning reliever like Raisel Iglesias

The Astros’ bullpen held on for as long as they could without Roberto Osuna, as the likes of Andre Scrubb and Ryan Pressly helped Houston get to within one win of the World Series. However, in a game that is becoming more reliant on the bullpen than ever before, the lack of depth on Houston’s side of things became very obvious in this series. While Osuna returning from Tommy John surgery

Iglesias, who had a 2.74 ERA and eight saves in 2020, is on a Reds team that has Amir Garrett waiting in the wings to take over the ninth inning. This could motivate the Reds to deal Iglesias for a bit of a discounted price, and the Astros could offer them one of their many top pitching prospects in exchange. Iglesias could compete with Pressly for the ninth-inning job before returning to a late-inning fireman role when Osuna comes back fully healthy. That combination could give the best in the AL some real fits in the postseason.
