2020 NFL power rankings, Week 7: Colts rally, Packers routed
The Dolphins had an opportunity to even their record for the season as they hosted the winless Jets. And Brian Flores’ team pitched a shutout, owning a 21-0 lead at halftime while limiting New York to only 263 total yards. Second-year pro Myles Gaskins ran for 91 yards on 18 carries while Ryan Fitzpatrick overcame two interceptions in throwing for 191 yards and three touchdowns. And there was a Tua Tagovailoa sighting late in the fourth quarter.
Matt Rhule’s club took a three-game winning streak into their home clash with the Bears. Teddy Bridgewater was picked off on his first pass attempt of the game and it set up Chicago’s first touchdown and the Panthers never caught up. The veteran quarterback was sacked four times and intercepted twice while Carolina finished with three turnover. On the plus side, the Panthers limited the Bears to 261 total yards – including 63 yards rushing.
Second-year quarterback Kyler Murray is one reason the team is off to a 3-2 start. But he has also had his ups and downs this season and has all seven of the club’s turnovers this season courtesy of six interceptions and a lost fumble. The Arizona defense looks better than it did a year ago and it’s interesting to note that Kliff Kingsbury’s club has allowed a combined 45 points in three victories and 57 points in losses to the Lions (26) and Panthers (31).
