Joe Buck and Troy Aikman shared some honest thoughts about having flyovers at NFL games.

Anyone who has attended multiple NFL games has likely taken in a military flyover at one point in time. The jets came racing over the stadium and the whole thing is over in a matter of seconds. But that doesn’t mean tens of thousands of dollars are spent per second. Jet fuel isn’t cheap.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were on the call Sunday in Tampa as the Buccaneers took on the Green Bay Packers. The Bucs had a flyover even with limited fans in attendance and the announcing duo was caught on a hot mic sharing some honest feelings about the whole spectacle.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman the latest to get caught on a hot mic

The first question with this video is how it leaked and what feed it was on. However, it is now out on social media and has become a story. One would think at this point announcers would learn to always treat the microphone as live. Thom Brennaman failed to follow that simple rule and lost his job because of it, albeit with far more offensive language shared.

This video becomes an even bigger story with Aikman bringing political candidates into the mix. Is it a big deal? Not really, but everything is a story at this point and some minor hate may be directed toward Aikman on social media if he cares to look.

Buck is currently on his crazy schedule that comes every year during the World Series. It would be a surprise if he even addressed this moment and FOX may just want to move on and not make it a bigger story. However, this does bring the issue of the cost of flyovers into focus. Is it worth the money?
