The White Sox swung for the fences last offseason to surround their young core with quality veterans, and acquisitions like Yasmani Grandal and Edwin Encarnacion helped Chicago reach the playoffs after over a decade without the postseason. Having said that, one of the acquisitions that did not pan out was Nomar Mazara, as the former Ranger mustered just one home run while disappointing at the plate and in the field.
