NFL DFS Bargain Bin: Week 7 Sunday Slates Quarterbacks

Joe Burrow, CIN vs. CLE ($5,500-DK/$7,100-FD)

Burrow and his teammates almost pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season in Week 6 against the Colts, and although they came up short, the 2020 first overall pick put in yet another fantasy-friendly performance. Facing one of the elite defensive units in the league, Burrow eclipsed 300 passing yards for the fourth time in six games while adding his second career rushing touchdown for good measure. The Week 7 matchup lines up well for Burrow at his very reasonable salaries if he can get sufficient pass protection.

Cleveland has allowed the fourth-most passing yards (1,737) and passing touchdowns (13) to quarterbacks, leading to an average of 21.7 DK/20.2 FD points per game surrendered to the position. The Browns do have 14 sacks and the Bengals have allowed 19, so there is some danger in that regard for Burrow. However, his elusiveness and impressive field awareness have already led to several prolific performances, and it’s also worth noting Cleveland remains ranked in the bottom 10 in points per drive (2.8) yielded through its first six games.

Kyle Allen, WFT vs. DAL ($5,200-DK/$6,700-FD)

For at least one week, Allen validated coach Ron Rivera‘s move to promote him to the starting job when he nearly helped the Washington Football Team pull off a narrow win over the Giants in Week 6. The second-year signal caller threw for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and he’s now completed an impressive 72.7 percent of his throws through the first game-plus in the top job. Sunday, he draws a solid matchup with which to keep that momentum going.

The Cowboys have been more vulnerable on the ground, but they’ve still yielded a 13:1 TD:INT to opposing quarterbacks, along with the seventh-most rushing yards (126) to the position. Allen doesn’t boast elite mobility, but he does have one rushing touchdown on the campaign. His offensive line’s pass-protection issues are also partly mitigated by the Cowboys’ mostly anemic pass rush, which has produced just nine sacks this season. Finally, consider Dallas is tied with the Jaguars for most points per drive allowed (3.1), furthering Allen’s case at very reasonable salaries.

ALSO CONSIDER: Derek Carr, LVR vs. TB ($5,400-DK/$6,900-FD)

DK-ONLY SPECIAL: Drew Brees, NO vs. CAR ($6,100-DK)
