3. 10. Pick Analysis. WR. Houston Texans. Scouting Report. Kenny Stills. player

Stills was drafted by the Saints in 2013, and spent his first two seasons there before being traded to the Miami Dolphins. He was traded against just before the 2019 season, to the Houston Texans as part of the Laremy Tunsil deal.

Stills is down the depth chart in Houston, with eight receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets through six games. He has played just one-third of the snaps on the season, and in the last two games entering Week 7 he has a total of one catch on one target while playing less than 20 snaps in each game.

Drew Brees was a different quarterback back then, as so much is made of his inability to threaten downfield consistently as he has aged. But Stills led the league by averaging 20 yards per catch for the Saints as a rookie, and he’s been an underrated touchdown producer (four seasons with at least five touchdowns in his career).

Perhaps most importantly for the Saints, Stills is in the final year of his contract at a reasonable number ($7 million). A late-round pick to Houston to bring him back in the fold feels like a worthy cost.
