Gabe Jackson was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. Video shows the decision to toss the Raiders lineman was questionable.

NFL refs have some explaining to do after they ejected Gabe Jackson for no good reason.

When Darren Waller caught a touchdown from Derek Carr to pull the Raiders within seven points of the Buccaneers in the third quarter, a fight ensued.

Further video showed Jackson tangled up with a Bucs defender, which led to a shoving match between the teams.

Somehow, the officials determined that Jackson needed to be tossed for the offense.

The Raiders lost guard Gabe Jackson to a dubious ejection in a tight game

The ejection could have a serious impact on the outcome of the game, which makes it all the more frustrating.

Las Vegas scored the opening points of the game on a 20-yard touchdown from Carr to Nelson Agholor. However, they went on to fall behind 21-10 at halftime to Tom Brady’s team.

The second half promised some intrigue when Waller found the endzone and made it a one-score game.

Losing a starting offensive lineman certainly won’t help the comeback effort for the Raiders.

Jackson was a third-round selection by the Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft. He has started 88 games for the team since that pick. His availability for the game this week was in doubt because of COVID-19 contact tracing, but he cleared testing and was able to suit up.

Las Vegas is looking to build off the momentum of their recent road win over the Kansas City Chiefs. They went into Sunday at 3-2.

Tampa Bay is in a battle for the NFC South, so they certainly aren’t looking to throw a win away. With the Saints’ earlier victory over the Panthers on Sunday, the Bucs are second in the division. A win would put them at the top.
