Pick Analysis. AFC South. 4. player. 52. Scouting Report. . Jacksonville Jaguars

Honest question, what do the Jaguars have left to trade? After initially looking like they were going into tank mode for Lawrence over the past year of moves, Gardner Minshew won a game and looked the part of a steady pocket-passer under center.

Yet, he’s got to go now doesn’t he?

Even in a loss to the Chargers, Minshew commanded the offense late, throwing for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Unfortunately, the defense continues to be a problem, allowing an average of 31.4 points per game. Still, Jacksonville has lost three of its six games by 10 points of fewer, largely due to the budding connection between Minshew and his targets.

If the Jaguars want to go after Lawrence or another quarterback early, letting go of Minshew is the only way. Trade, benching, it doesn’t matter. Outside of him, perhaps Keelan Cole or Cam Robinson could garner attention on the market. Trading any valuable player that hasn’t been drafted the past two seasons or isn’t D.J. Chark could be move to help the franchise actually return to contention.
