The Dallas Cowboys might be gearing up for a few more trades

The 2020 season has been a complete dud for the Dallas Cowboys, as injuries to Dak Prescott coupled with Mike McCarthy and Mike Nolan’s complete cluelessness on the sideline has the Cowboys at an uninspiring 2-5 mark with the season almost half-over. The fire sale has already begun in Dallas, as they flipped declining pass rusher Everson Griffen to the 3-3 Detroit Lions in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick.

As the Cowboys look to acquire draft picks to rebuild the defense, look for these three players to also be on the move in the near future.

The Cowboys should consider making these three deals before the deadline

Schultz’s production this year, in which he has roped in 25 catches for 282 yards and two touchdowns, is surprising for multiple reasons. Not only was Schultz drafted in the fourth round for his blocking ability, but he plays in a Kellen Moore offense that doesn’t feature the tight end heavily in the passing game. With tight end likely a priority in the upcoming offseason, Schultz could be on the move as Dallas seeks out draft capital, and a Buffalo team that is in need of tight ends seems like the perfect landing spot if they are willing to part with a fifth-rounder.

Not only was Buffalo struggling to get a ton of production from Dawson Knox as a receiver, but several tight ends landing on the COVID-19 list has ravaged their depth chart. Schultz will not only give Josh Allen another big-mitted target over the middle, but he could be a major boost in the run game.

While the thunder and lightning combination of Zack Moss and Devin Singletary hasn’t totally lived up to billing, Schultz sealing blockers on the edge could help both of them break off big runs.
