The Legend of Randy Arozarena grows with every postseason long ball he hits.

Randy Arozarena took Tony Gonsolin yard in the top of the first inning in Game 6.

The Tampa Bay Rays star did it again. Arozarena cranked his 10th postseason home run on Tuesday night to give his team an early 1-0 lead in the top-half of the first inning. Tampa Bay trails the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in this best-of-seven series. If Tampa Bay goes on to win the World Series and upset the Dodgers, he will be the unquestioned World Series MVP. It’s good to be him.

Dave Roberts might regret starting Tony Gonsolin in Game 6

There is nothing wrong with letting a phenomenal baseball talent like Arozarena beat you, but what is an issue is not putting your players in a position to succeed. Gonsolin is a promising player in the Dodgers organization, but he has been asked to do too much this postseason. He’s not anywhere close to Clayton Kershaw or Walker Buehler‘s level as an MLB starting pitcher.

With this being a do-or-die game for the Rays, Tampa Bay is trotting out its former Cy Young winner Blake Snell. Though he has had his issues going deep in games, Snell does give the Rays the decided edge with the men toeing the rubber on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay’s bullpen has been better throughout the postseason than Los Angeles’, and you can’t leave this game to chance.

And that is exactly what Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts is doing! He doesn’t have to win this game to win the World Series. That’s fine and all, but this is the same Dodgers organization that hasn’t won a World Series since 1988. As for Kevin Cash‘s Rays, they are two games away from winning their first title in franchise history. They may feel pressure, but Los Angeles feels way more.

Tampa Bay has an undisputed superstar in Arozarena, and baseball fans are well aware of it now.
