Fantasy Football 2020 Week 8 Rankings: Who to start and sit
Start:
Le’Veon Bell, KC, vs. NYJ
Revenge game, anyone? Le’Veon Bell got his first game action with the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend and while the numbers weren’t eye-popping, it was helpful for him to get acquainted with his team.
Now, playing against the New York Jets, the same team that released him two weeks ago will be one that should see Bell score his first Chiefs touchdown. He’s a FLEX start but could have a big enough week to be an RB2.
Leonard Fournette, TB, @ NYG
Leonard Fournette was back in action for Tampa Bay this week and got plenty of work, showing that it’s not just Ronald Jones’ backfield despite his impressive success. Fournette should continue to get passing work for the Bucs and is worth a play on Monday night vs. the New York Giants.
Zack Moss, BUF, vs. NE
The New England Patriots were just thrashed by the San Francisco 49ers run game and that should continue on Sunday.
Zack Moss had an impressive game in his second week back from injury and should be seen as the running back to cause problems for the Patriots this week. He’s worth the try with the hope he scores one or two touchdowns.
Sit:
D’Andre Swift, DET, vs. IND
D’Andre Swift has been fantastic the past two weeks, really taking the reigns as the top running back for the Detroit Lions. And that’s great, but a matchup with the Indianapolis Colts should send him back to your bench that he rode earlier in the season.
Wayne Gallman, NYG, vs. TB
Wayne Gallman should be a popular waiver-wire player this week because of his impressive play for the New York Giants when Devonta Freeman was hurt. That doesn’t mean he should be a popular play this week, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are fresh off holding Josh Jacobs to 17 yards on the ground.
Ravens Running Backs, vs. PIT
The Ravens running backs should be sat most weeks, but a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers only enhances that sentiment, making all three unstartable in any league — deep or normal.
