Justin Turner has received plenty of backlash for celebrating the World Series title with the Dodgers, with David Letterman joining the long list of people to blast him.

What in the world was Justin Turner thinking? While winning the World Series will surely be one of the biggest highlights of his life, the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger deciding to celebrate with his team after he had been removed from Game 6 for testing positive for the coronavirus was completely irresponsible.

Following L.A.’s big win, Turner and the team as a whole have been blasted left and right for allowing him to take the field, celebrate and interact with all of his teammates and family members.

This week, David Letterman decided to join the party in letting Turner know exactly how he feels about his behavior.

David Letterman is not happy with Justin Turner and the Dodgers

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Letterman made sure to let Turner know how upset he was by saying, “There is no I in team, but there’s an I in ‘ventilator.” Tell us how you really feel, Mr. Letterman. Can you blame him for having this reaction, though?

Turner basically told everyone he didn’t care about testing positive and that nothing was going to stop him from celebrating the World Series win with his teammates. How in the world did the Dodgers allow this to happen too? By letting Turner get back on the field, he put everyone close to him at risk of picking up the virus as well.

Rob Manfred has also called out the Dodgers this week. Again, while winning a World Series is an unforgettable experience, what Turner did, in this case, was just plain wrong.
