What are five bold fantasy football predictions for Week 8 of the NFL season?

Each week, FanSided offers five bold predictions pertaining to your fantasy football matchups. This is the eighth edition of a series that will accompany you deep into your fantasy postseason travels.

Generally speaking, these fantasy football predictions are based on a 10-team, PPR league perspective. Most of the time, the assertions will apply to all aspects of fantasy football. If some sleepers are honorably mentioned, don’t be upset that the player is considered a sleeper when he may be the best option you have to plug-and-play.

Not all leagues abide by the traditional 10-man format, and some leagues are even more exciting when they’re out-of-the-norm leagues.

For full disclosure, let’s hold ourselves accountable for last week:

  1. Davante Adams posts lofty numbers at the Texans. Absolutely correct. This is probably our best bold prediction of the season.
  2. Justin Jackson is a pleasant RB sleeperMostly correct. Sleeper is difficult to define, but Jackson’s 10.5 points were a decent showing.
  3. Matt Ryan carries over the momentum from Week 6. Incorrect. Ryan was pedestrian in a loss to Detroit.
  4. The Steelers “contain” Derrick Henry. Mostly correct. Henry notched 13 PPR points — an average day for him.
  5. T.J. Hockenson plays like a top-notch TE. Mostly correct. The Lions pass-catcher was the fourth-best TE of the week.

On to Week 8. Here are five relatively brazen predictions that are associated with Week 8 only. Not all of these projections will be accurate all of the time. Fantasy football dealings are topsy-turvy. Overall, though, let this season-long series serve as a pocketbook to your fantasy strategy.
