What NFL action will be available in your area in Week 8?

The calendar will flip to November on Sunday and the NFL season is officially in full swing. Some great matchups are on tap, including a showdown in Baltimore between the Ravens and Steelers, which should be part of an exciting weekend of football.

Which games will be available in your area? Check out this week’s TV coverage maps, courtesy of 506 Sports, to find out that as well as which announcers will be calling the action. Teams on bye this week include the Washington Football Team, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans (which is a good thing after a member of the team tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday).

Thursday Night Football (FOX/NFL Network)

Atlanta Falcons (1-6) at Carolina Panthers (3-4): Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

This Thursday will see an NFC South matchup with shootout potential as the Falcons look to bounce back from another excruciating loss by taking on the Panthers. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are on the call after Buck gets a day off following the conclusion of the World Series.

CBS (Singleheader)

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-0) at Baltimore Ravens (5-1) (Red): Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

New England Patriots (2-4) at Buffalo Bills (5-2) (Dark Blue): Ian Eagle, Charles Davis

New York Jets (0-7) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-1) (Green): Kevin Harlan, Trent Green

Indianapolis Colts (4-2) at Detroit Lions (3-3) (Orange): Andrew Catalon, James Lofton

Tennessee Titans (5-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-5-1) (Light Blue): Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta

Los Angeles Chargers (2-4) at Denver Broncos (2-4) (Late, Yellow): Greg Gumbel, Rich Gannon

CBS has the single header this week so they will send Steelers-Ravens to the most markets in the early window. Jets-Chiefs has the second biggest spread on the map while the three other early games are regionalized. The markets set to receive a late game will get to check out Chargers-Broncos.

FOX (Early Window)

Minnesota Vikings (1-5) at Green Bay Packers (5-1) (Red): Kevin Burkhardt, Daryl Johnston

Los Angeles Rams (5-2) at Miami Dolphins (3-3) (Blue): Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma

Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) at Cleveland Browns (5-2) (Green): Kevin Kugler, Chris Spielman

FOX’s early window will see most of the country check out the matchup between the Packers and Vikings. The Browns-Raiders game gets the second most distribution while Tua Tagovailoa’s first NFL start is mostly regionalized to relevant markets.

FOX (Late Window)

New Orleans Saints (4-2) at Chicago Bears (5-2) (Red): Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

San Francisco 49ers (4-3) at Seattle Seahawks (5-1) (Blue): Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth

Fox has two compelling games in the 4:25 slot so they have split the coverage literally across the middle of the country. Any states east of Texas will get Buck and Aikman calling the Saints-Bears showdown while the Western states see the NFC West showdown between the Seahawks and 49ers.

Sunday Night Football (NBC)

Dallas Cowboys (2-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-4-1): Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth

This might be one of the worst games of the week but someone has to win the NFC East as Al Michaels reminded us last weekend. This contest has playoff implications but it should feature some ugly football.

Monday Night Football (ESPN)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) at New York Giants (1-6): Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick

This week’s Monday night game doesn’t look like much to write home about as the Buccaneers look poised to run roughshod over the Giants. If you want to watch it will be the only major sporting event of the day.
