Mecole Hardman opened up the scoring in the Chiefs vs. Jets showdown with a sweet 30-yard touchdown from Patrick Mahomes.

Blink and you may have missed Mecole Hardman racing past all the New York Jets defenders chasing him on Sunday. On the Chiefs first drive, Patrick Mahomes paced the offense to an impressive long drive.

It was capped off by a 30-yard jet sweep touchdown by Hardman, who caught the ball from Mahomes and then raced his way to the end zone to put his team on top. It was an impressive play from the former Georgia Bulldog.

As you can see in the video above, Hardman received some outstanding blocks and then did the rest, as he cruised his way for six.

Nothing was going to stop Hardman from scoring that touchdown, which was great to see for Chiefs fans. In his second year, Hardman hasn’t quite had the campaign everyone in Kansas City expected him to, but Sunday’s score will surely give him plenty of confidence.

Meanwhile for Mahomes, he continues to to make things look easy on Sundays, with New York being his latest victim. Unless the Jets’ defense wakes up here soon and decides to try tackling, it could end up being a long day for Adam Gase and the rest of the coaching staff at Arrowhead Stadium for Week 8.
