Tom Herman is loving life and living it up as a locker room crowd surfer.

You better believe Tom Herman celebrated Texas football’s big win over Oklahoma State football.

The Texas Longhorns went into Stillwater and upset the No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 9. Though the Longhorns won’t be competing for anything more than a Big 12 Championship and a Cotton Bowl Classic invite as a part of the New Year’s Six, Herman was crowd surfing like a champion in the postgame celebration. He could not be happier after handing the Pokes a lost.

For another week, Herman can rest easy at night without having all of Longhorn Twitter trying to fire him. Despite having two conference losses already on the campaign, Texas can still win the Big 12 and play in a New Year’s Six bowl. However, Texas will not be back until the Longhorns reach the College Football Playoff, which no Big 12 team will be able to do after Oklahoma State’s loss.

While the Longhorns defense leaves a lot to be desired, we have seen the offense score in bunches behind its senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger. To be able to outflank the high-octane offense of Mike Gundy and the Cowboys is certainly commendable. Though canning Herman this year is not happening, knocking the Big 12 out of the playoff picture is always reason to celebrate.

There is nothing like beating the best team in your conference on Halloween and celebrating it.
