D.J. Uiagalelei is the future now for Clemson football with this magnificent touchdown pass.

D.J. Uiagalelei‘s first touchdown pass in his second career start for Clemson was a thing of beauty.

The Clemson Tigers were down 10-0 in the first quarter to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday night. This was a clash between the No. 1 and No. 4 teams in the nation. Neither team had suffered a defeat heading into this ball game. Filling in for Trevor Lawrence, Uiagalelei delivers this beautiful dime to wide receiver Cornell Powell to put six points on the board for Clemson.

Clemson is in fantastic shape with Uiagalelei as its full-time starter in 2021

Once Lawrence declares for the 2021 NFL Draft, it will be Uiagalelei the rest of the way under center in Clemson. The former five-star recruit is well on his way to becoming the next star quarterback for Clemson under head coach Dabo Swinney. With Deshaun Watson already an NFL franchise quarterback and Lawrence about to be, Uiagalelei is in great hands in college.

Though Clemson is favored over Notre Dame in this one, this is the Irish’s biggest game in two years. The last time these two traditional power met, Clemson eviscerated Ian Book and the Irish to the tune of 30-3 in the 2019 Cotton Bowl Classic in the College Football Playoff national semifinal. This meeting in 2020 may be a precursor to the 2020 ACC Championship game.

With Uiagalelei flashing his talent this early in his college career, he could be a special player.
