After not appearing in an NFL game since 2017, Dez Bryant is all set to make his debut for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and he honored Kobe Bryant before hand.

It’s been a long wait for Dez Bryant, but he’s all set to hit the field once again on Sunday. Not playing in a game for nearly three years, Bryant was activated by the Baltimore Ravens this week from the practice squad and is hoping to make some catches against the Colts in Week 9.

Before the game, Bryant arrived to the stadium wearing an old Kobe Bryant Lakers jersey, honoring the late NBA superstar who tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident. For Dez Bryant, it’s clear he’s more than motivated to get the job done against Indianapolis.

Both Bryants had to overcome torn Achilles to get back on their respective courts/fields. For Dez Bryant, he looked ready to try and help out the New Orleans Saints in 2018 after signing with the team in November of that year, but a torn Achilles during practice put the kibosh on those plans.

After sitting and waiting for another opportunity to arise, Baltimore brought Dez Bryant into town to join the practice squad, but they’re now ready to see what the outside receiver can do with Lamar Jackson throwing him the ball.

It’s hard not to root for Dez Bryant, as he’s been working tirelessly for this shot to come. Now that it has, he’s ready to prove his career is far from over and he can make a big difference in Baltimore. And should he find success, you better believe he won’t waste much time in dedicating some of that success to Kobe Bryant and his family.
