Manchester City face Liverpool at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 8. Here’s all the info you need to watch this Premier League game.
The eighth matchday of the Premier League season features one of the biggest games of the season. The last two English champions face-off as Manchester City host Liverpool at Etihad Stadium. The Citizens have gotten off to a poor start by their standards, picking up only 11 points in their first six games. Meanwhile, the Reds top the table with 16 points in seven games.
City are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games after beating Sheffield United last weekend, but over that stretch they’ve only won twice. In the Champions League, City continued their perfect start, beating Olympiacos on Tuesday. One of the reasons that the Citizens have struggled in domestic play is their lack of goal scoring. In previous seasons, City have averaged more than two goals per game. Through six games, the club only has nine goals. With striker Sergio Aguero sidelined with an injury, City will continue to struggle to finish their chances.
Liverpool have won two straight Premier League games and will look to make it three on Sunday. On Tuesday, the Reds easily beat Atalanta, winning 3-0. Things are going so extremely well for the Reds that the biggest issue facing the club is determining who should start in the front three, Diogo Jota or incumbent Robert Firmino. Jota has been excellent since joining the club from Wolves, scoring seven goals in all competitions.
