Taysom Hill will be loved by all, according to Alvin Kamara

Real question: what does Taysom Hill actually do? The New Orleans Saints believe the former BYU quarterback can be a multi-tooled weapon in all three phases of their football team, including potentially being the heir to Drew Brees.

Sure, there’s no denying that Hill has earned a spot on the 53-man roster, but franchise quarterback? Maybe not. However, perhaps Alvin Kamara could change your mind on the overall thoughts on his future down in the Bayou.

During Wednesday’s media outing, Kamara stated while Hill receives hate, no one truly understands his value. Even when lined up opposite Brees, defenses have to be cautious about who’s throwing the ball. Let’s just let you read the rest of the quote down below.

How special is Hill with the Saints?

Hill saw his best outing of the season Sunday night in the 38-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He finished 2-of-2 passing for 48 yards, led the team in rushing with 54, and added another 21 on a catch in the third quarter. He also did this with only 19 total snaps on the evening.

New Orleans gave Hill a two-year extension this offseason, roughly paying him $16 million in 2021. If some believe he’s going to be their franchise guy, they’ll need to see more throws like the ones against Tampa Bay’s secondary. For his career, Hill is 10-of-18 passing for 205 yards and one interception.

There is something overall dangerous about Hill when he is on the field. Teams try to prepare for situations but with No.7, what’s the best point of attack? And with several different options that could unfold, how can teams best prepare for matchups against the versatile player down in the NFC South?

Love him or hate him, Hill’s talents should not go unnoticed. Neither should Kamara’s loyalty as a teammate. It’s clear these two will get along just fine as new duo down by Bourbon Street for many years to come.
